鹿児島県肝付町の宇宙航空研究開発機構(JAXA)内之浦宇宙空間観測所は、2018年2月18日(日)、施設特別公開を実施します。内之浦宇宙空間観測所の公開は2016年以来、2年ぶりとなります。

当日は、9時30分から16時まで、入場できます。なお、イプシロンロケット発射装置は保守作業のため公開されません。

内之浦宇宙空間観測所では、科学観測ロケットおよび科学衛星の打ち上げならびにそれらの追跡やデータ取得などの業務を行っています。また、ロケットの歴史や科学衛星について楽しく学べる宇宙科学資料館が設けられています。詳しくは、JAXAの広報サイト「ファン!ファン!JAXA!」を参照ください。
